The Wolf of Baghdad
– a memoir of a lost homeland by Carol Isaacs/The Surreal McCoy
I have drawn a graphic memoir that tells of my family’s memories of their lost Iraqi homeland (part-funded by Arts Council England and Dangoor Education in memory of Sir Naim Dangoor). It is also designed to be shown as a slideshow (motion comic) with its own soundtrack accompanied by musicians playing Judeo-Arabic and Iraqi repertoire.
The Wolf of Baghdad was published as a graphic memoir on January 30 2020 by leading independent UK publisher Myriad Editions.
The motion comic is now available to rent as a livestream, or buy as a download from this website’s shop. Also available as a DVD-ROM and CD soundtrack.
